Reversible Blazer - 1930s Handloomed European Linen

$1,928.00

An elegant yellow with a touch of neon calls attention to the structure of this classic blazer. This reversible piece was designed to play on contrasts: masculine and feminine, neutral and colored, tailored and soft. Works for day and night. For a sartorial touch, fold the cuffs to nod to the duality of the fabrics, then pair with everything from skirts to dresses to trousers.

Fabric

Antique linen hemp fabric is from Eastern Europe (likely Hungary) and was handwoven in the 1930s. It is paired from a highest quality yellow-silk cotton (c. 1980s) from the estate of Houston designer-seamstress Kiki Kantalis, dressmaker to Houston society.

Buttons

French “Bubble Buttons”, c. 1950, made from celluloid.

Sizing Details

This blazer is a Medium, which means it is designed to accommodate U.S. sizes 2 through 8. View our detailed size chart and int'l sizes here. ABOUT THIS PIECE

Structured, handwoven linen from Hungary in the 1930s meets soft, modern yellow silk-cotton.

Natural handwoven linen contrasts with yellow silk-cotton from the 1980s. "Bubble" buttons from the 1950s lend a playful twist.

Designed & made in Houston, Texas
